To get started, simply bring basic room measurements and/or photos of your current space, along with any inspirational images—whether from Pinterest boards, our Inspiration Gallery, or magazine clippings—and an idea of your budget range. We’ll use this information to create your initial layout, then review and finalize everything during an in-home visit.
During a one-on-one showroom appointment, you’ll meet with our design team to share your vision, goals, and preferences. We’ll review your layout and space, explore style ideas and materials, discuss construction needs and budget, and answer any questions. This step sets the foundation for your project and ensures your vision is clearly understood from the start.
During this step, we create a personalized 3D rendering of your kitchen, bathroom, or project based on your measurements and preferences. In your showroom review, you’ll explore the layout, provide feedback, and collaborate with our designers to make adjustments, ensuring the final plan fully reflects your vision before moving forward.
During this step, you’ll finalize any remaining material selections or confirm your choices with our expert team. Once everything is complete, we’ll prepare a detailed construction estimate to move your project forward.
Once your design, material selections, and measurements are finalized, we review your estimate, timeline, and payment plan. After your approval, we schedule your installation, ensuring everything is aligned—style, layout, and budget—and giving you clarity and confidence as you move toward your finished kitchen or bath.

How Long Does a Kitchen Remodel Take?
The timeline can vary depending on the project, but it generally unfolds in three main phases:

You don’t always have to start with a design consultation, but we highly recommend it. Cabinets are custom-fit to your space, and the consultation ensures measurements, layouts, and details are accurate—helping you avoid costly mistakes or delays.

- Q: Can my existing cabinets be updated instead of replaced?
Effect Distributor only offers full cabinet and countertop replacement, not cabinet refacing or painting.
- Q: Can I meet with a designer remotely?
While exceptions may be made, completing a kitchen design typically requires an in-person showroom visit.
- Q: Are there any fees for your design services?
Core design services, such as showroom consultations and initial guidance, are free. Some additional services—like in-home measurements or extra revisions—may carry a fee, which can often be applied toward your project.
