Frequently Asked Questions
Below is a list of some of our most frequently asked questions. If you have any additional questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us or your designer—we’ll be happy to provide a prompt response.
Showrooms:
- Where is your showroom?
Our showroom is located on 799 Flory Mill Road in Lancaster Pa 17601.

Our hours are from Monday to Friday: 9AM - 6PM and Saturday: 9AM - 2PM.

We have over 50 different colors and styles of cabinets from over 5 lines of cabinetry. Feel free to come to the showroom to check them out.
- Do you have bathrooms on display?
We do not currently have full bathroom displays in our showroom. However, due to strong community interest, we look forward to opening a dedicated bathroom display in the near future. In the meantime, we do showcase shower doors, tile, hardware, cabinetry, and other bathroom-related products. With these options, our team can easily create a complete bathroom design and help you make selections to move your project forward.
Estimates:
- Can I have my kitchen designed for free?
Yes, Effect Distributor offers free design services for all projects. After you book a consultation with one of our designers, we’ll work with you to create a custom kitchen design and estimate. During the consultation, we’ll discuss how you use your space, your design preferences, and your budget to ensure the design is tailored specifically to you. Whenever possible, you’ll receive your design and estimate the same day or within a week.

- Do your designers visit my home to take measurements?
Our process starts in the showroom. During this initial design meeting, you’ll meet with your dedicated designer to discuss your goals, preferences, and style. If you’d like a designer to visit your home to help with ideas, selections, and overall design, an in-home consultation can be scheduled for a small fee. During this visit, we’ll take precise measurements and gain a better understanding of how your family uses the space. Seeing the layout in person allows us to design a solution that fits your lifestyle—not just your floorplan.
- How is kitchen pricing determined?
Your kitchen remodel cost depends on a number of factors. The size of your space, the materials you choose, the scope of work (cosmetic refresh vs. full renovation), and whether or not you're moving plumbing or electrical will all play a big role in the final number. We always recommend starting with a showroom consultation. Once we understand your space and priorities, we’ll put together a detailed design and quote that fits your budget. No pressure—just solid info so you can plan confidently.
- How long will it take to get an accurate price and design?
To give you accurate pricing, we’ll first need to understand the scope of your project and get proper measurements. For smaller, straightforward projects using stock cabinetry, we may be able to provide a quote relatively quickly once we have the details. But for special-order goods or more complex layouts, it can take a couple of weeks to complete the design and prepare your quote. Many of our clients go through several rounds of revisions—that’s normal, and it’s part of how we make sure the final result is exactly what you want.
Labor:
- Can you handle the full remodel, or just the materials?
At Effect Distributor, we provide complete interior renovation services, including demolition, electrical, plumbing, and installation. From kitchens and bathrooms to flooring and custom cabinetry, we handle every aspect of your interior remodel. If you’d like to know what’s included for your specific project, just get in touch—we’re happy to walk you through the details and answer any questions.
Installation:
- How much time should I expect for cabinet installation?
Cabinet installation usually takes 2 or more weeks, depending on the size and complexity of the project. Larger remodels involving demolition, plumbing, and electrical work will take additional time.
- What is the typical timeline for stone countertop installation?
Granite and quartz countertops need to be templated by the fabricator after the cabinets are installed. Typically, it takes one to two weeks or more for the countertops to be fabricated and installed.

- What forms of payment are accepted?
We accept cash, check, and all major credit cards. Please note that a 5% processing fee applies to all credit card payments.
